This
subject is about biomass and its use as energy, in particular as biofuels. The
course provides knowledge on biomass material, biomass conversion processes to
energy and associated products (heat and power, liquid and gaseous biofuels),
as well as the positioning of biomass use in the current energy context. Process
design is also studied with application on thermal conversion processes
